My voice teacher Winifred gave me the best interview advice ever. I was preparing for an audition. She said, “We have no idea what they’re looking for.
“We don’t know if they want Rice Krispies, Corn Chex or Fruity Pebbles. You sound great. Go in there and sing your song. Forget about them.
“They might hire you. They might not. They might call you in six months for another role. You can’t control any of that. Have fun and do your thing.”
A job interview is just an opportunity to meet some new people and learn something new. It’s a chance to sing your song. If they like you, maybe they deserve you. You have no one to please or impress. Have fun and do your thing!
